Our Winter Dance recitals will be December 13 & 14 at Hillcrest High School auditorium.

Saturday December 14 5:00 p.m. Central Studio Dance Recital
Saturday December 14 7:00 p.m. East Studio Dance Recital

Dance during inservice

There has been some confusion about when/if dance is closed.  We only close dance if BOTH districts are closed. Dance is ONLY cancelled on Friday October 4.  Please refer to the dance calendar you were sent on email for other dates that may be of interest.

Registration for Fall classes is now closed.  If you missed out, check back in January.  We might have open classes available then.

Registration instructions

Online registration is now available!  Please be sure to do each step or your registration will not be complete.  Your class may fill up, we will keep the list updated when they do.  Please be sure to check the list before you send your registration in.  Registration is not complete if you have not paid the $25 fee.  Registration will close September 30.

1) Check the  class list located here on the blog.  Be sure to pick the correct studio.

2) Print the Rules and Policies form and sign

3)Print the online registration  form and sign it, indicating the class you would like to register for.

4)Mail with your $25 per dancer registration fee to 2437 Heyrend Way  Idaho Falls ID 83402

July 15 is just a week away!  Registration for Fall classes starts that day!  You can find the schedule on the blog to figure out which class is the best fit for your schedule.

Also, the 1st costume fee for all competition teams is due July 15 as well.

We will be in the office from 8-12 pm that morning to help you with either of these things.

Thanks to all who made the effort to try out this year!  We keep growing and growing each year.  It's exciting to see all the great dancers you are!  No matter what this list says, you are all beautiful dancers and you should never stop dancing!

 Be sure to check all the lists for your number!  

The office will be open on Tuesday June 4 from 4:30-6:30 and Wednesday June 5 from 12-2 next week.

Be sure to come one of those days to make sure your sweats are sized correctly. 

We need correct sizes so we can order them asap.

IDS Team Competition Agreement 2013-2104

Go here to print the Competition Agreement. You will need this form signed by a Parent/legal guardian to be able to try out Saturday June 1. There will be copies there for your parent to sign, but if they will not be there you MUST bring a signed copy with you otherwise you WILL NOT be allowed to try out.

Summer Dance Classes

Hello everyone!

It's time to start thinking about summer classes!! The classes will be offered on Monday and Wednesdays and you can see the schedule below. Classes run for 7 weeks and we are only offering it as a whole block. (As an example, you can't only pay for six weeks because you'll be on vacation one week.) That being said, we understand that people miss in the summer. :) If you'll be gone, just let your instructor know. Once you've paid for the block, there won't be any refunds-no exceptions.

Sign-ups are in the office and we can only hold your spot once you have paid in full. The class sizes will be limited to 12 in the tumbling classes and 20 in the others.

The classes will run from July 1st-August 14th every Monday and Wednesday.
The cost is: 1 Class for 7 weeks every Mon/Wed: $150
2 classes for 7 weeks every Mon/Wed: $175
3 classes for 7 weeks every Mon/Wed: $200

Sorry it took me a while to give results, but I have to admit I wanted to let the dancers know in class!!

Ok so Infinity ROCKED IT on Saturday April 20!! The total points is out 300 total....300 being PERFECT
Each studio got a special award and our studio got the one and only BEST TECHNIQUE/EXECUTION AWARD!
That is by far the best one to get!!

Circus took 1st place with a 288 pts plus they won Judges Choice in Lane 1 out of 70 different dances!!

Also, SEVERAL of our dancers received in-class scholarships. We had some in every age group. We are so proud of our dancers for working so hard, giving it your all, and representing IDS and what we stand for as a studio. We may not always fit "the mold", but we work hard, we love each other and we have Integrity. We also want to thank our parents for supporting the dancers in this two day event. We know it's a lot of hours, but hope you see the benefit of it and were able to see your dancer grow.

Let's keep working for those last two competitions of the year.

Last minute finishing touch info

Here are some last minute notes that came into my head or were brought to my attention before tomorrow:

1. Varsity and JV please steam your tutus so they don't look raggy on stage! You can hang it up in your bathroom turn shower on as hot as it will go and shut the door for about 5 to 7 mins.

2. I-Jump you will wear your hair just like you did for Winter recital. In a straight pony tail behind your head and a puff in front.

3. Tinys you will wear tan tights for BOTH your dances and pirouette tan jazz shoes for "Over the Rainbow". Also please steam your "Over the Rainbow" outfit DO NOT IRON! You can hang it up in your bathroom turn shower on as hot as it will go and shut the door for about 5 to 7 mins.

4. JV you will wear your hair in a low left pony tail due to short costume changes!

5. EVERYONE make sure your hair looks nice and clean and not sloppy!

6. EVERYONE needs to wear Green Hoodie over costumes!

7. PARENTS show your IDS spirit attire and cheer loud for our dancers! But don't cheer loud when judges are talking :)

8. A HUGE HUGE HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL VOLUNTEERS helping out tomorrow. It makes me feel extremely good when you are so willing to help me out as well as get involved with your dancer's studio!

9. Make sure and stop by the YUMMY food concessions tomorrow to grab a bite to eat! Remember event is CASH only.

10. GOOD LUCK MY AMAZING DANCERS! I TRULY LOVE YOU ALL AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU SHINE ON STAGE!

Finishing Touch

SATURDAY FEB 23rd
This showcase is at Hillcrest High School Aud. It will cost $5.00 to get into event and 4yr old and younger are free.
YOU CAN ONLY PAY WITH CASH!!! YOU CAN ONLY PAY WITH CASH!! YOU CAN ONLY PAY WITH CASH!!
There will be concession food available all day long! YUMMY YUMMY...my parents are doing it and I know they would LOVE your support! There is no food or drink in Auditorium so there will be tables set up in foyer.
There will also de a dance down at the end of day and the cost is $7.00. This will be the perfect one to attend the dance down because there are few dancers at this event! You can sign -up at admission table.

ALL VOLUNTEERS WILL BE CONTACTED THIS WEEKEND ABOUT TIMES AND JOBS!!

Here is the schedule for finishing touch.
When you are looking at your fast changes they are not as fast as they look.
We have allowed 6 mins a dance to give judges a few minutes to talk with dancers after each number.

Tinys will need to be ready to perform "Circus" at 12:30pm
Minis will need to be ready to perform "Rag Dolls" at 12:30pm
I-Jump will need to be ready to perform "Back in Time" at 1:00 pm
Smalls will need to be ready to perform "Sailing Home" at 1:00pm
Tweens will need to be ready to perform "Cops and Robbers" at 2:00pm
JV Jazzerettes will need to be ready to perform "La Fille Mal Gardee" ballet at 3:00pm
Varsity Jazzerettes will need to be ready to perform "Swan Lake" ballet at 4:30pm
I-Crew n will need to be ready to perform "Work it Out" at 4:30pm


We have decided to do the Tweens hair ONE way and keep it the same for all 4 dances!
It will start on left side of head up front with a french braid that will go all the way around the head to a low side pony tail on left.

JV Hair= Sock bun for "La Fille Mal Gardee" and "Cinema"
"Put your Records On" Down with half up WAVY NOT STRAIGHT
Side crazy pony for "Get Bizzy"

Varsity
French braid and BUN for "Swan LAke" and "Viva La Vida".
French braid and pony for "Settle Down" and "After the Storm"
"Diamonds" in back pony tail leaving a little french braid in front
IT WILL BE AN AMZING DAY FOR THESE DANCERS!!!

All dances are done now and I have the chance to practice on Hillcrest Stage tomorrow so I took it!!
PRACTICE will be at Hillcrest High School Auditorium tomorrow!!! YEAH!!

Spring Break, Spring Recital, Summer camps and Tryouts

HELLO INFINITY!

INFINITY SPRING BREAK will
be March 27-April 2. We took both district 91 & 93
breaks and split them in half :)

Also a reminder of our Spring Recital dates:
Competition Teams will be May 17th
East and Central locations will be May 18th

I just wanted to give a heads up to everyone about our camp dates and tryouts this summer 2013.

INTENSIVE CAMP (required for all new jazz competition teams Tinys, Minis, Smalls, Tweens, JV and Varsity)
JUNE 17th -21st

Summer Dance Blast (required for all new hip hop competition teams I-Jump and I-Crew)
Summer Dance blast is also open to the public as well!
June 24th-28th

Hello Dancers and Parents-

Because of the Snow days in January, I will be holding a makeup class on Friday February 8th at your regular class time.
3 yr. olds- 1:30-2:15
4 yr. olds- 2:15-3:00
5 yr. olds- 3:00-4:00
We will also be having a Valentines Party next week Monday February 11th during class time. The dancers are welcome to bring valentines to share with there classmates.

Final competition fee deadline

Hello everyone
This IS IT....the final payment due for competitions and costumes!!
It is actually due TODAY...but I am giving you until the end of the week to get it into
us before you are charged with a late fee:) So please take advantage of this extension and
pay it on time:)


Also we would like to announce that Megan "Betty" Burton ( Hip Hop Instructor at IDS) has her mission call to
Tampa, FL and will be leaving us Feb 20th!! We are so extremely excited and proud of her!
We will miss her dearly and she will be in our prayers as she devotes herself for 18 months to her church
and Father in Heaven!

Halftime Dates/Extra Practices/pointe class dates

Our January 16th halftime is cancelled because the Vice President at
Skyline High School made a mistake and thought the game was at home...when in fact it is an away game.
He feels really bad that this happened and it's an honest mistake, but these teams will still get to perform
at a halftime:)
