Thursday May 15

* With the competition teams put only 2 girls in a competition costume then the rest in their ballet/Disney outfits.

They have been doing their competition dances all year on stage, but the lighting people will need to see the outfit. This way we don't waste time changing during the stage time!!

 

Friday May 16th

HILLCREST HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM 

4:30-5:30 JV and VARSITY going over opening number!!!

NO ONE, NO ONE, NO ONE CAN BE SEATING OR SAVING SEATS IN AUDITORIUM UNTIL WE OPEN DOORS AT 5:45!!!

Sorry it sounds harsh, but I say it every time and we still run into trouble :(

ONLY SENIORS WILL GET 4 SEATS TO SAVE 

CLEAR OUT AUDITORIUM FOR SHOW!! DOORS OPEN AT 5:45 pm to friends and family

Pre-Show starts at 6:00pm with solos and Show Starts at 6:30pm

THERE IS ONLY ONE CLASS THAT WILL HAVE THEIR DRESS REHEARSAL ON THURSDAY MAY 15  at Hillcrest High School BECAUSE A LITTLE DANCER WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE IT FRIDAY OR SATURDAY

We will lock everything up and return back to re-open at 4:00 pm to open doors for show at 4:30 pm

Please do not try and leave things to save seats because we will just have to clear out everything for FIRE CODE

East Studio (Ammon 17th street) show starts at 4:30 pm doors open at 4:00 pm

Central Studio (Heyrend Way) show starts at 7:00 pm doors open at 6:15 pm that is a change from 6:30 pm

ITS GOING TO BE AMAZING!!

2014-2015 Tryouts

Hi Everyone!

We sat down to come up with the try out schedule and realized we have too many teams and not enough hours in one day to give everyone the time needed to get our teams put together.  So-we've had to move the younger teams to FRIDAY, JUNE 6th.  We realize this is the last day of school for some….but otherwise we will be at the studio until midnight….at least.  So-PLEASE pass the word along to anyone who has showed interest.  We don't want anyone to miss out!!

Please have dancers come prepared with the proper shoes and clothing.  

For Jazz teams, wear leos and tight shorts...please no loose fitting clothing, Jazz or ballet shoes and hair pulled back.  

Hip hop teams come prepared with clean tennis shoes and whatever clothing you'd like. No jeans. 

You'll need to fill out some paperwork before your tryout time, so come early enough to allow you to do that.

Friday, June 6th

Odyssey "Shut Up and Dance"

What an incredible weekend we had in Provo!!!

This was the biggest turn out yet from other studios in the Utah area.

Many IDS girls were picked by instructors thru out the day showcasing their

amazing ability!

Our dances were UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

The highest ranking you can get is a Platinum then below that is High Gold then below that is Gold then Silver.

They also had different divisions that each dance was in either placing 1st, second, third, etc.

JV Jazzerettes got:

"Night Life" was a HIgh Gold placing 1st

"Toy Solider" was a Platinum placing 1st

Varsity Jazzerettes got:

"I Lived" ULTIMATE platinum placing 1st  (Ultimate means they LOVED IT!!! only 5 given ALL DAY)

"Promise" Platinum placing 1st

Winter Recitals

Our Winter Dance recitals will be December 13 & 14 at Hillcrest High School auditorium. 
Friday December 13 at 6:30 p.m Competition Team Recital
Saturday December 14 5:00 p.m. Central Studio Dance Recital
Saturday December 14 7:00 p.m. East Studio Dance Recital

Dance during inservice

There has been some confusion about when/if dance is closed.  We only close dance if BOTH districts are closed. Dance is ONLY cancelled on Friday October 4.  Please refer to the dance calendar you were sent on email for other dates that may be of interest.

Registration is Closed

Registration for Fall classes is now closed.  If you missed out, check back in January.  We might have open classes available then.
