WOW What a fun and Great weekend for IDS!!!
We did so well and are really excited for this weekend!
The scoring system is a bit confusing for those who are not familiar with dance competitions.
Platinum being the highest rank then HIgh Gold then Gold then Silver

COPS AND ROBBERS STOLE THE SHOW! They got a platinum, best choreography,and HIGH SCORE OF THE ENTIRE COMPETITION!
Their score was 98.16!!

Competition team pictures
Its that time again!!
I love seeing all these beautiful dancers in their amazing costumes!!
Pictures will be APRIL 9 and 10 this year. They are held in the BIG studio at the Central location.
This schedule will take the place of classes these 2 days.
This was the ONLY time we could figure out a time when all would be there!!! Wear purple sweats with your green hoodies, if you have them.

Hello Dancers
You were all so amazing Saturday and looked so great!! It was nice to get such wonderful feedback from the judges before we compete this Saturday!
Remember they changed the location to Marsh Valley High School in McCammon, ID. It will take a little over an hour to get there from Idaho Falls. Below is a ROUGH schedule for Saturday and the time I would like the teams to be ready...not to arrive, but be ready.

Last minute finishing touch info
Here are some last minute notes that came into my head or were brought to my attention before tomorrow:
1. Varsity and JV please steam your tutus so they don't look raggy on stage! You can hang it up in your bathroom turn shower on as hot as it will go and shut the door for about 5 to 7 mins.
2. I-Jump you will wear your hair just like you did for Winter recital. In a straight pony tail behind your head and a puff in front.
3. Tinys you will wear tan tights for BOTH your dances and pirouette tan jazz shoes for "Over the Rainbow". Also please steam your "Over the Rainbow" outfit DO NOT IRON! You can hang it up in your bathroom turn shower on as hot as it will go and shut the door for about 5 to 7 mins.
4. JV you will wear your hair in a low left pony tail due to short costume changes!
5. EVERYONE make sure your hair looks nice and clean and not sloppy!
6. EVERYONE needs to wear Green Hoodie over costumes!
7. PARENTS show your IDS spirit attire and cheer loud for our dancers! But don't cheer loud when judges are talking :)
8. A HUGE HUGE HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL VOLUNTEERS helping out tomorrow. It makes me feel extremely good when you are so willing to help me out as well as get involved with your dancer's studio!
9. Make sure and stop by the YUMMY food concessions tomorrow to grab a bite to eat! Remember event is CASH only.
10. GOOD LUCK MY AMAZING DANCERS! I TRULY LOVE YOU ALL AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU SHINE ON STAGE!

Finishing Touch
SATURDAY FEB 23rd
This showcase is at Hillcrest High School Aud. It will cost $5.00 to get into event and 4yr old and younger are free.
YOU CAN ONLY PAY WITH CASH!!! YOU CAN ONLY PAY WITH CASH!! YOU CAN ONLY PAY WITH CASH!!
There will be concession food available all day long! YUMMY YUMMY...my parents are doing it and I know they would LOVE your support! There is no food or drink in Auditorium so there will be tables set up in foyer.
There will also de a dance down at the end of day and the cost is $7.00. This will be the perfect one to attend the dance down because there are few dancers at this event! You can sign -up at admission table.
ALL VOLUNTEERS WILL BE CONTACTED THIS WEEKEND ABOUT TIMES AND JOBS!!

When you are looking at your fast changes they are not as fast as they look.
We have allowed 6 mins a dance to give judges a few minutes to talk with dancers after each number.
Tinys will need to be ready to perform "Circus" at 12:30pm
Minis will need to be ready to perform "Rag Dolls" at 12:30pm
I-Jump will need to be ready to perform "Back in Time" at 1:00 pm
Smalls will need to be ready to perform "Sailing Home" at 1:00pm
Tweens will need to be ready to perform "Cops and Robbers" at 2:00pm
JV Jazzerettes will need to be ready to perform "La Fille Mal Gardee" ballet at 3:00pm
Varsity Jazzerettes will need to be ready to perform "Swan Lake" ballet at 4:30pm
I-Crew n will need to be ready to perform "Work it Out" at 4:30pm
We have decided to do the Tweens hair ONE way and keep it the same for all 4 dances!
It will start on left side of head up front with a french braid that will go all the way around the head to a low side pony tail on left.
JV Hair= Sock bun for "La Fille Mal Gardee" and "Cinema"
"Put your Records On" Down with half up WAVY NOT STRAIGHT
Side crazy pony for "Get Bizzy"

French braid and BUN for "Swan LAke" and "Viva La Vida".

Spring Break, Spring Recital, Summer camps and Tryouts
HELLO INFINITY!
INFINITY SPRING BREAK will
be March 27-April 2. We took both district 91 & 93
breaks and split them in half :)
Also a reminder of our Spring Recital dates:
Competition Teams will be May 17th
East and Central locations will be May 18th
I just wanted to give a heads up to everyone about our camp dates and tryouts this summer 2013.
INTENSIVE CAMP (required for all new jazz competition teams Tinys, Minis, Smalls, Tweens, JV and Varsity)
JUNE 17th -21st
Summer Dance Blast (required for all new hip hop competition teams I-Jump and I-Crew)
Summer Dance blast is also open to the public as well!
June 24th-28th
